Military Supplies On Way To Greece To Fight Bandits

Washington AP Dwight Griswold head of the American aid mission to Greece announced 36 million dollars in military supplies, largely US Army and Navy surplus, are en route to equip the Greek army and navy for anti bandit actions. Shipments follow into fall as part of a 300 million dollar aid program. Griswold argued security aids economic recovery and hopes to curb guerrilla bands. Planned aid includes 19 million for agricultural rehabilitation, 48 million for ports highways and industry, 75 million for civilian goods, 3 million for health, and 1.5 million to train Greek nationals.

No Brains Required To Spank Children

Washington reports Dr. Lee Forrest Hill of the American Academy of Pediatrics says children are human beings and spanking shows parental brain shortcomings. Lions Outline Goal For Coming Year

Dothan Lions Club outlined a seven point program as their goal for the coming year at yesterday’s weekly meeting led by President W F Beck. Escaped Convict Captured In City

Police Chief Eddie Kelley said an escaped Negro convict named Free man Parker was captured last night in the city by Lt Barney Patterson and City Detective John Atkins. Parker reportedly fled the state road camp near Headland around 11:30 Thursday night and was turned over to state authorities today.
