Limpy Ashwood leads a gangster raid as Nancy Wentworth is held for ransom. Jerry Calhoun and detective Stevens race through gunfire to reach a monoplane and rescue Nancy before attackers trap them on the island.
R Howell, a Dothan man who had an operation here last week, is in serious condition and seeks to find his sister Mrs Vick Scott who lived in the Birmingham area two years ago. Mrs Howell says Scott was with her son Ozana Scott at Bessemer, likely moved to Birmingham since then.
A. L. Faulk and Sallie May Faulk mortgaged 1924 property to Jemison and Company. Metropolitan Life Insurance Company holds the transferrable note. Sale set for July 30 1932 at the Dothan courthouse to satisfy the mortgage and costs. W.D. Martin attorney, Birmingham. The tract described lies along Foster Street, with 96 feet frontage and 180 feet depth, previously conveyed by O. E. Williams.
