In Chicago a man wrongfully imprisoned for 11 years, Joe Majczek, receives $24,009 from the State of Illinois. His mother Tenaciously funded his fight, scrubbing floors to secure his freedom and later a $24,000 restitution. The governor later approved full compensation. Girl Found Chained To Bedpost On 16th Birthday

Knoxvile AP report says Geraldine Massengell, age 16, was found chained to a bedpost on her birthday. Police chief Kinsey and Officer Kimsey quoted the girl alleging her father chained her weekly with a belt for punishment.
