Southern Liquid Gas Company buys Marianna assets
The Southern Liquid Gas Company of Douglas has purchased the assets of Modern Gas Company of Marianna, Florida, after Modern Gas was declared insolvent by a federal bankruptcy referee. Victor T. Mavity, president of the purchaser, stated the company will continue the Marianna office and serve about 2,300 customers in the area from Luverne to Laguna Gulf coast.
