Publisher and aide appeal federal fraud sentence
In Cincinnati on January 30 AP report, Huntsville Alabama publisher E Pierce and Memphis Tennessee aide FE Roach appealed their Memphis federal court conviction for impersonating a federal officer. Pierce received 12 years and $5500 fine, Roach five years and $2400 fine, found guilty on 27 of 21 counts. Government alleged they represented 45 TVA officials in an advertising campaign.
