Fragmented tale of London plans and a Chicago dining scene
An OCR damaged text blends a man’s promised trip from Chicago to London via Amsterdam with a Christmas era dinner at the Cheshire Cheese in Chicago. It mentions a plan to visit London, a note about a street scene, a pen letter found behind a wall, and a public notice about a local lodger or benevolence gesture.
