Alabama bill to create Houston County revenue board replaces county commissioners
Notice of legislation states that in the coming Alabama Legislature session a bill will create a Houston County revenue board to replace the county commissioners court. It assigns district representation, defines powers, makes the board tax commissioner, sets session rules, appoints a clerk, requires court clerks and chancery register to report fines and judgments, fixes compensation, and abolishes the county commissioners court with effect date noted by W. L. Lee.
