Roosevelt plans conference trips before Warm Springs trip

President elect Franklin D Roosevelt will meet with congressmen and discuss foreign affairs before leaving for Warm Springs Ga. He will arrive January 22 after stops at Montgomery and Muscle Shoals. Senator Swanson of Virginia, a disarmament conference delegate, is to confer with Roosevelt this week.

Out of State Trucks Not Required to Carry Georgia Licenses

Superior Judge E. E. Pomeroy ruled that out of state motor freight trucks operating on irregular schedules into Georgia do not have to carry Georgia license plates. He granted a permanent injunction restraining the state revenue commission from enforcing regulators covering such trucks.

Quincey Young Man Killed In Auto Accident

C R Shaw 21 a former University of Florida student was killed when his car overturned on a highway near Quitman Georgia He was en route to visit his mother and died after more than 12 hours in a Valdosta hospital He suffered a skull fracture and other injuries. Houston County Receives $2500 R F C Loan Start of Relief Work

Relief funds for Houston county are approved from the Reconstruction Finance Corporation for 2500 dollars to begin road and sanitation relief work.
