Meeting of the W CGT at Footer Street Church

A note says a meeting of the W CG T group will be held Saturday at 3 PM at the Footer Street church. The Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving will be observed and all members are urged to attend. Mrs M B Byrd of Jacksonville Fla is visiting the city. Mrs Fred O'Brien is ill with influenza at her West Franklin Street home.

Prohibition Anniversary Rally Urges Public Support

On the tenth year of national prohibition, the Women's Christian Temperance Union campaigns to sell prohibition to the country. Members are urged to promote enforcement without force and to replace it with education in sermons and public posters urging people to give prohibition a chance and noting the liquor traffic had its day.

Young People organize at First Baptist Church

The Young People’s Department of the Sunday School, now in the new church building, reports 143 enrolled. Mrs E N Loftin leads music with Miss Loaisa.
