Evangeline Booth Returns to Command in United States
A new photograph shows Evangeline Booth, commander of the Salvation Army in the United States, back on duty after a Europe trip upon arrival in Newark. Separate notes report highway robbery charges against Strickland and Irvin, and Alabama’s electric chair record since 1927 shows no executions for highway robbery. Supreme Court reviews of Shreex cases focus on court records with no bills of exception filed, and the justices Knight, Brown, and Thomas named for early study as the full court prepares a banc session for the final decision.
