Foman Stricken At Home In Dothan
A. L. Foman father of Mrs. AM. P. Black was stricken with apoplexy this morning around 10 o clock while sitting by the fire at the home of Mr and Mrs. Black on Newton street. By 1 o clock he could not move or speak though he seemed conscious and answered by growling when questioned. He arrived in Dothan from Banks earlier and is about 70 years old.

Valuable house damaged by fire in Burkett boarding house
Fire this afternoon threatened the Burkett boarding house at Qates and Crawford, causing substantial water and smoke damage upstairs. Trained nurses save patients in fiery Selma hospital
In Selma Alabama in the afternoon a fire broke out at De Bose sanarium. Nurses at the visitation hospital swiftly evacuated patients, carrying many down stairs into the freezing air. No lives were lost though several were frightened and one patient had not yet fully recovered from anesthesia. The fire is believed to stem from a defective flue and had gained headway before discovery.

Senator Sider J H Elking of West Virginia died at his home in Elving W Va from septicemia after a long illness. His wife four sons David Richard Stephen and Elane survived him.
