A fire damaged the home of Joe Whitehurst in Lena street leaving four walls standing. Loss estimated at 750 dollars with insurance covering the house and contested areas, cause not determined. In Florida, Eual Woodham 41 and his wife 31 and sister-in-law Mrs Z P Shaw 38 died when their car crashed into a bridge abutment near Quincy.
