Ashford Couples Host Christmas Supper Party

Mr and Mrs Robert Earla Christmas and Mr and Mrs Tom Tracry Fellows hosted a buffet supper for friends at the Christmas holiday in Ashford. The home featured holly and silvered branches, a patterned tablecloth, and red-taper centerpieces. W M S Circle Group Elects New Officers

The W M S Circle of First Baptist met at Mrs G H Malone’s home for reorganization and officer elections for 1943 led by Mrs Theodore Jackson. Officers include Mrs Malone chair, Mrs Homer Rountree VP, Mrs Linton Warren sec, and several chairmen with 100.00 Club treasurer Bill Whiddon and telephone chair Mrs Ruel Watford. Seventeen members attended and plans were made to contribute fifty cents to the 100.00 Club.

Sewing Center To Open Tuesday In Red Cram Room

Work resumes in the Red Cram Production room next Tuesday January 5 at 9 am. Mrs A E Mathis production manager urges volunteers for assembling over seas kits with government supplied materials while Dothan students provide funding for equipment. About 550 kits are planned with one third ready for shipment by January 30. Knitters should hand in sweaters Tuesday for Army shipments next week.
