Bill Would Open Florida Game Refuge to Limited Hunting
Washington AP reports a pending bill could allow limited hunting at the St. Marks wildlife refuge in Northwest Florida. The measure would raise the federal duck stamp price from 1 to 2 dollars and lets the Fish and Wildlife Service open up to 25 percent of refuges when deemed appropriate. Representatives Kersten and Sikes back the plan, citing departmental sympathy and a fair chance of passage this year.
