Plan to secure boll weevil aid for Houston County
A long letter from S D McGee of Slocomb outlines a plan to raise funds for an experienced farm demonstrator in Houston County to combat boll weevil. He urges Hartford and Geneva county cooperation, appeals to banks and merchants, and cites a $1000 grant offer from Chicago Grain Exchange as leverage. Letters from local bankers and the Geneva Reaper editor accompany the appeal, emphasizing rapid action and community support to boost farm profits.
