Early Marriages Recommended by Biology Professor
Birmingham Feb 23 AP Dr W A Whiting biology professor at Birmingham Southern College urges young people to marry early and stay put. He says the ideal biological age is 21 to 23 when physical maturity is reached but mental maturity not complete. Monogamy is the only biologically sound form, with no biological opposition to close-kin unions though these may emphasize bad traits. He notes the man should be slightly older and warns large age gaps harm companionship. Eugenic marriage should weigh hereditary defects and moral conduct before or out of wedlock.
