AP reports Soviet forces pushed toward Pskov and Minsk, announcing capture of 144 villages as Red Army units moved within about 28 miles of Dno and 30 miles of Pskov. Moscow said German casualties reached about 3,200 amid heavy fighting and rail lines near Lake Peipus and Luga.
Two men were killed and two women seriously injured Sunday in a head on collision on the Alabama Florida highway five miles south of Dothan. Driver and passenger in one car were identified as Claudie Preston Whits of Graceville and Jeuse Oington Burran of Dothan. The injured were Mrs Coker Mixon and her sister in law Mrs Ellison Mixon both of Madrid. Patrolman Earl Hewley investigated al She said the Mixon car was returning to Dothan from Madrid.
