Dothan News Circulated Local Civic Letters and Trials
In Dothan the Civic Duty movement drew support from Captain Mier and the Tidman family planning a Wiregrass trip. Letters from Mrs Gertrude Tidman describe a planned automobile journey to Dothan in two weeks. Local figures like Frank Pridgen and Curty Granberry offered varied views, while lawyers and clergy discussed upcoming cases and issues. A courthouse overheard tale involved a Negro preacher and a dramatic coffin incident, with testimony about a door and a patient in a parable-tinged scene.
