Miss Jacquelyne Howell daughter of Mr and Mrs Bemarmun Brown Howell of Samson and John Lewis Cates of Columbiana son of Mrs J Brooks Wooley of Montevalia and Cecil W Cates of Columbiana were united in marriage at a candle lit ceremony Saturday afternoon at 5 30 in the Methodist Church at Samson. The Rev Earl DuBou and the Rev Henry T Grayson officiated as attendees and bridesmaids wore pink and mauve taffeta gowns with matching mutis. The ceremony featured Mendelssohn Wedding March and Liebestraum as music selections with elaborate floral and candle decorations surrounding the altar.
