15 Persons Start Work Here Today
A total of 15 unemployed persons were given work by the free employment agency here today. Eleven men were placed on a garden project on West Main Street and will be paid in script redeemable for merchandise at Dothan stores, and four others were placed at other jobs. A total of 160 registered for work, with 15 registering today. The financial committee of five Dothan residents has started to raise 300 to supply groceries redeemable in script for labor. Preparations were made to run the plant at least one month, with possible indefinite continuation if conditions warrant.
