Demonstrations focus on pastries, mixes, refrigerator rolls and cookies, one dish meals, and other shortcuts. W H Slocomb seventy five died at his home in Lumberton Mississippi early today after a heart attack. A Dothan native he lived there after 1903 and ran Slocomb Manufacturing Co. Funeral services will be held in Lumberton Thursday morning with burial to follow. Survivors include several children grandchildren nieces and nephews.

Theodore Jackson ran a quiz What Is Kiwanis and Frank Pridgen inducted two new members Robert Rush and Joe McMullan with pins. Kiwanian Arthur Williams was added to active members. Tangemen of Bluffton Ind attended for attendance and began his 26th year of Kiwanis perfect attendance, with a talk on What Makes a Good Kiwanian. Patsy Pittman and Billy Gregory of the Dothan high school band announced Friday’s concert at the high school auditorium. The meeting ended with the Code of Ethics read by Dr Parker.
