Small Bone Conduction Phone Aids Deaf
New York AP reports Dr Hugo Lisher devised a tiny bone conduction phone about the size of a match box. The device uses three movable parts a magnet a vibrating plate and a bone contact for the deafened user allowing sound without bulky equipment. The breakthrough came after years of study and a simple hole in the magnet guiding a rod to push versus pull against bone for vibration. Alabama notes follow with public notices and local society items.
