New Snow Seen For New Yorkers
Dark snow bearing clouds moved over New York as the city finishes digging out from a 19.5 inch blast, the third heaviest on record. The weather bureau warned of possible light snow this morning with later forecasts remaining uncertain. The Northeast storm caused about a score of deaths across states, but transport largely stayed on time and the major airports operated. Snow remained deep in slush on busy routes as 20,000 snow removers faced ongoing work. Weather compared to last December’s 25.8 inch event, which left crews unprepared, and Northwest systems also felt the storm as British Columbia logged record snow. Normalization was awaited once Stevens Pass clears. Turn To No. 12 On. Page 2 WATCH HOLIDAY TRAFFIC.
