Man Taken From Burning Auto Was Critically Hurt

Dee 18 H. EF. Thigpen, 26, was pulled from his burning overturned car by a passing motorist on the Gadsden highway near Birmingham. He suffered severe burns and was in critical condition the next day. Thigpen said the front of his car burst into flames from a short circuit before the vehicle went off the embankment.

West Virginia killer listed as Death List terrorizes Romney

Three men were gunned down in Romney, Walter Crabtree, 30, held for the shootings after a “death list” of five homes was found. Victims included Justice H. C. Inskeep, 50, and Sheriff C. B.
