Minor league meetings shape Dothan Browns future
At the Miami convention the Dothan Browns opted to operate independently again this season due to a failed major league tie up. A new 17-man roster limit for Class leagues renews rookies’ entry burden while veteran Cat Milner takes bench duties and scouting for fresh talent continues. The Wiregrass Basketball League kicks off its fourth season with ten teams and a schedule aimed at competitive play and cups for divisional champions. Dothan High cagers demonstrate solid form in a practice win over Midland City Filers with strong depth and defense, led by Coach Rip Hewes.
