Tale of Buried Gold and a Confederate Treasure Hunt
A memory of buried gold triggers a search across California for a claimed fortune. The tale follows a Confederate veteran and his son from New Orleans to Auburn and Long Valley as they uncover a centuries old stash said to lie beneath a tavern adobe. The pursuit mixes Civil War memory, family lore, and a perilous quest through Abbott era mining sites.
