Indictments Returned in Geneva County Grand Jury
Geneva December 3 indictions by the Geneva county grand jury name B C Price Jr and Wallace Bowen of Newville on first degree murder charges in the death of Mrs Ethel Price. Bowen confessed the motor car accident story was false and Price allegedly killed his wife with an iron bar then drove the car off a embankment. Also charged were Harold and Clyde Dixon with first degree murder in the shooting of Adolph Cratchfield near Geneva. Eleven true bills were returned, with five felonies and misdemeanors among them.

Fires Break Out In City Homes Overnight
Fire crews battled two blazes last night and early this morning. A dwelling at 103 Commonwealth Court owned by J. M. Griffin, occupied by H. B Harris, was extinguished with little damage. The second fire damaged a roof on South Ate Street, a Negro residence, with only a few shingles burned. the blaze was started by chimney sparks. Authorities noted the origin of the first fire remains unknown.
