Gins in Dothan Align Prices With Nearby Markets
A survey shows Dothan area cotton gins offering seed meal at ten for ten or twelve for ten, matching Midland City and Pinchard pricing. Ginners admit swapping ton for ton risks losses, with several gins including Boann’s, Dothan Oil Mill Nos. 1-3, and Pinchard and Midland City rivals all in the price war. Evans of Midland City reports the gin is profitable, despite the staged swap plan.
