Deputy Avan North brought Tom Meshaw to Dothan last Saturday on a county bond. A peace warrant was viewed at the courthouse with a bond set at four hundred dollars.
The Department of Agriculture announces investigations into two wholesale dealers on Ad chain for alleged produce fraud affecting farmers and country merchants. Bondsmen are notified and civil actions, under the produce law, are launched alongside criminal proceedings. Farmers and merchants urged to file claims with the department.
Kelly Springs drew the largest crowds in the county as Houston county’s sole water resort. Autos ferried bathers along rough roads from Dothan to the springs, where improvements were limited to a concrete wall around the pool and a completed bath house. Most visitors were from Dothan with several from Headland and nearby communities.
A defendant did not appear in court on the warrant for the assault charge. The case against Vr Kevton proceeded with obvious absence noted as Wiley Withang failed to attend the session.
Sheriff John A May vows strict enforcement of the Sunday law in Dothan targeting cigars and soft drinks on the Sabbath. The second arrest in the case follows John Nelson ahaadain Key and Alphas Molon, both taken Friday near Granger on warrants for seduction.
In Macon Georgia Aug death of Woo Wood at Marion hospital follows a typhoid outbreak in a single home. Four children and a parent are hospitalized or severely ill while other family members, including a ten month old baby, suffer typhoid symptoms.
