Alabama death rate from external causes rose to 57.4 per 100000 after March tornadoes. Six month report shows auto deaths down to 167 from 200, influenza and pneumonia down, typhoid up, tuberculosis down for the first time in five years. Communicable diseases fell from 645 to 362. births 20,856 vs deaths 13,366. St Louis Art Museum holds a top Chinese art collection.
