Bascom R Blount Dies At Dundee
Bascom R Blount, forty seven, died at his home in Dundee Sunday afternoon after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at the Dundes Baptist church with Rev. W M Bush Rev J A Peacock and Rev A D Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. He is survived by his father J R Blount of Dundee, stepmother Mrs J R Blount of Dondes, sisters Mrs Addie Smith Mrs Lennie Dowling and Mrs Louisa Brown of Hartford and Mrs Vassie Clark of Este Fie, and two brothers Homer Blount of Hertford and Houaston Mount U S Army.

Bishop Decell Receives Medal for Rail Crisis Heroism
In Birmingham, Methodists Bishop J. Lloyd DeCell was awarded a Medal by the Illinois Central system for helping avert danger on the New Orleans Chicago express last May 27.
