Ammunition and guns seized in Harlan raids

In raids on striking miners in Harlan County, deputies arrested six men on firearms charges. About two thousand rounds of ammunition, a dozen rifles and several pistols were seized, along with radical literature. Farmers Seek Federal Loan Moratorium in Houston County

Graduation Exercises At State University On Friday

At the University of Alabama in Birmingham hall, 186 students are set to receive degrees Friday including 154 baccalaureate and 38 advanced degrees.
