Walter Tipton visits Ashford on Sunday while J D Smith spends the day in Bamson. Garden seed and turnip seed offerings, fall planting urged. Local residents Mrs C B Searcy and Mrs N B Crawford visit. several ads for shoes, real estate, and builder services. The Royal Arch Masons and northbound trips noted as well.
Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Williams are at White Sulphur Springs for a few days. Mrs. O. P. Green and son B. F. have gone to Warm Springs for a few weeks stay.
The ad notes six fifty low cut Clapp shoes cut to five twenty with a one dollar and thirty cent saving. Batchelor Bros. and St J W Fortner of Albany visited the city Sunday. For sale a prime city home under quick bargain terms. Chas T Blaum and L B Bryan of Jacksonville Fla spent Sunday with local parents.
During the week Mayor Young has fined six women for houses of ill name. Each was fined $50 except one who received a $10 fine. He ordered them to move on and instructed property owners not to permit such women to stay.
The ceremony took place at the bride’s parents’ home on West North street with Rev. Sam H. Campbell officiating. The legal notice in Dothan Eagle requires John Summerset, a non resident of Alabama residing in Florida and with unknown postal address, to plead in the Mary Summerset vs AT Dothan 17 District suit by August 6, 1907 or a decree pro confesso may be entered.
