John A May Seeks Sheriff Nomination in Houeive County
John A. May announces his candidacy for sheriff of Houeive County subject to the Democratic party nominating convention. He grew up in the county and moved to Dothan from Beat 14 ten years ago, becoming Dothan’s police chief with a record of fairness and duty. A meeting at the Opera House on Monday at four will present his campaign. A committee of well known citizens will stand watches for dropped objects and return them to their places. Tickets are on sale at the Paragon Pharmacy. Miss Svellie Bowely will visit Montgomery then stay with Mine Mulr Kirkpatrick for a few days.
