Veteran Ben Catchings, noted for driving the Brewton Millers to the playoffs and starring in Western Association All-Stars, returns to manage the Enterprise Bob Weevils as the Alabama State League season opens. His career spans San Francisco PCL, Birmingham Barons, and early All-Star history from 1933. He batted .309 in his first season and .344 last year, with 120 walks in 1934. He is expected to lift the Weevils toward the top.
