Dowling and Rhodes Funeral Home opened in Dothan under R. L. Hardman with H. B. Dowling and H. L. Rhodes as owners. Frank Dunham assists, a lady assistant employed, and two new straight eight Meteor ambulances with a speed guarantee of 90 mph. The building and equipment are newly remodeled with a chapel and a display of new caskets available during the public open house on Wednesday and Thursday.

Alabama and Georgia mill operators urge the Interstate Commerce Commission to cut freight rates on Southern textile products to the East and North.
