Texan Hens Bring Profit From Egg Production

Denison Texas based farmer Fred Morrison shifted from cotton to hens, earning 3.20 per bird annually with 1500 birds targeted by 1929. Production costs 0.48 per egg and last year’s egg net reached 3155 dollars. Morrison also runs a 50 cow dairy and 100 acre farm. Special Sessions to Discuss Memorial Hospital Plans

Birmingham April 23 CP Two special sessions of the Alabama and North Alabama Conferences of the Methodist Episcopal Church South were called to consider matters relating to the Memorial hospital at Montgomery. Bishop Hoyt M. Dobbs presiding in this state announced the meetings set for April 25 at the First SE Church in Birmingham and at Court Street Methodist Church in Montgomery. The hospital is owned jointly by the two conferences and faced actions last year.
