City council urged to pass ordinance to curb flies and manure
Auto Tuberculoss League members pressed Montgomery officials to enforce a June ordinance banning unscreened manure piles in the city. Dr. Greil warns flies spread typhoid and other germs from litter and open manure. The measure would require screening with fourteen inch mesh and closed metal garbage cans to prevent airborne contamination.
