Governor Eugene Talmadge pardoned Georgia escape artists yesterday and urged them to go in peace and sin no more. Both said they would show gratitude by their conduct as they head to Macon to seek work. Harvey had 110 years reduced to 10 years. Smith 145 years. They had been convicted of robberies on highways and theft with multiple escapes, even confined in the state prison death cell at times.
