Recruiting Officer Inspects Station Here

Captain C C Chandler of the United States Army recruiting service in Birmingham conducted an official inspection of the Dothan recruiting station, headed by Sgt. Winn. Chandler, new to the recruiting field, made his first visit to Dothan. Mr and Mrs P A Mancock of Jacksonville Fla were guests of Mr and Mrs W O Dunckley while en route home after visiting Montgomery.

Labor Leader to Speak in Dothan Thursday Night

Unprecedented unemployment and wage cuts loom over Dothan as workers suffer nationwide. A mass meeting at City Auditorium on Thursday April 17 at 7 30 pm will feature Colton Chase of Birmingham and American Federation of Labor ties. Chase is a familiar voice on WRBC and southern stations and will address laborers from a worker viewpoint. Ladies are especially invited to attend.

Friends of Rosell Dukes Hopeful Over Junior’s Recovery

Friends report that Junior Dukes shows improvement after pneumonia.
