Funeral services for Coleman Earnest Driggers thirty one who died at his home Brennan Stand Thursday morning were held today at a Room at Retebeth Church with Rev Jeter Baldwin officiating. Burial followed in Rehab cemetery Ward Wilson directing. He had lived in Brannon Stand community all his life. Surviving are his parents Mr and Mrs J C Driggers two sisters Misses Daisy and Pansy Driggers all of Brannon Stand his grandfather W L Gibson of Cottonwood Active pallbearers Emmett Hallis H D Hatton Frank Trawick Lamar Bowers James Lee Ford Snell and more.

Funeral services for W J Waters seventy one were held at Hurricane Methodist Church with ministers Hey F Charm and Rev Will Davis officiating. Burial followed in Hurricane cemetery. Survived by two daughters five sons three sisters three brothers thirteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers Odell Robert and William Waters Lasier Gaston and Oscar Blount.
The State Pardon and Parole Board denied parole for Jesse Moore of Houston County who stabbed Willie May Moore with an ice pick in July 1928. Moore pled guilty in August 1928 and received a life sentence. The denial was among 12 parole denials by the board.
Funeral services were held for Harold Bolin fourteen of Slocomb route one who died Tuesday night at Dothan hospital from head injuries after a fall from a horse earlier that day. The Rev Will Davis officiated at Union Hill Church and burial followed in the church cemetery with Holman directing. He left a sister Doris Bolin another sister Glenda Bolin and a brother Jimmy Durrell Bolin, all of Slocomb route one.
