Harmony Club Holds Wednesday Meeting at Houston Hotel

Harmony Club met yesterday afternoon at the Houston Hotel with Mrs. Troy Lewis presiding in the leader’s absence. The program included a club collect federation hymn report by Mrs. A. B. Blount a talk on Music of Spain by Mrs. F. M. Gaines and musical numbers led by Mina Frances Hancock Virginia Hancock Miss Frances Hancock and Mrs. Troy Lewis. About ten members attended and the session adjourned after a business meeting.

State Business Women's President Guest At Meeting

Miss Ethel Ramage state president of the Alabama Federation was honor guest and speaker at the Public Relations Dinner held by the local Business and Professional Women's Club in the Houston Hotel Tuesday evening. Ramage stressed women in business and professions and the ideas Woman a co dictator of Justice Social and Economic Security for Women and The Cause and Cure of War. Ruth Timmerman was toast master and Elma Baxter club president led the program with songs and solos by Berta Griffin Campbell and Gladys King. Accompanying Ramage to Dothan were Mrs. Carrie Lou Andrews and Miss Eunice Ward. Other guests included J Theodore Jackson Harry Hall C Co Bennett H C Mostello Mrs Carl Synce etc. The dinner table featured Easter place cards and pansies. gladioli adorned the piano. Mrs Ike Rimson and sister Mrs Milner of Panama City have returned from Atlanta.
