New Refining Process Doubles Gasoline Yield
Pittsburgh dispatch reports Gulf Oil Corp stating a complete refining process now yields 70 to 75 percent gasoline from crude. Earlier plants produced 5 to 25 percent. The old flare lights around refineries are now repurposed into gasoline production, with every non gasoline fraction used to make over 300 peacetime petroleum products.
