Condemned Negro to Plead for Clemency Before Pardon Board
Wred Kinney, condemned Negro from Perry county, will plead for clemency April 17 before Gov. B. M. Miller and the state pardon board. Kinney faces execution by electric chair April 28 after Perry circuit court convicted him of first degree murder. he did not appeal to the supreme court. The pardon board members are Pete B. Jarman Jr, Thomas E. Knight Jr, and John Brandon. The board will recommend to Gov. Miller, who will decide on commutation to reprieve or imprisonment.
