Houston County Sunday Convention met at Gordon with Carthel of Anniston present and an address given. The next meeting is set for Wat Cotton Wood in February. The collection totaled about $2001 and will be sent to the state convention. Officers listed include Welton Carmichael president Flowers and others. Executive Committee members include Robert Boyd and G. Williams among others.
The marriage of Miss Willie Baker of Dothan Alabama and Whack H Bailey of Opelika Alabama occurred at 53 Dunn Street West End yesterday with Rev Barnd P Smith rector of End Christian Church officiating. The bride is the daughter of Jane Baker of this city and has been studying at Cox in Atlanta.
