Easter Passes On Mexican Border With Little Firing

Promised Gandy Brownsville Texas April 4 Easter Sunday passed with only occasional rifle fire between Villa forces investing Matamoros and Carranza soldiers defending the town. Five hundred Villa troops with one crimen were reported to have reached Reynosa about 60 miles west of Matamoros. An express car said to carry an aeroplane forage or loaded with ammunition arrived but was not unloaded. Easter services were held for Villa wounded in the Red Cross hospital.
