Annual Scout Council Meeting Slated Here
The Southeast Alabama Boy Scout Council will hold its annual meeting Wednesday April 7 at 7 5 pm in the House Hotel. President James Jason of Eviews will preside. Lars Emer of Troy will report on the nominating committee. Harley E Erb regional executive of Memphis will give the keynote. An investment ceremony will occur with a new member from each Dothan troop marching in full uniform.

Clinic For Crippled Children Scheduled
A clinic for white and Negro crippled children will be held in Dothan at the Presbyterian Church starting 6 am Friday April 9. Mrs L. Collins welfare director announced that many letters mailed to Houston County parents were returned for incorrect addresses. Dr W C Hannon of Mobile will provide free examinations. Miss Thelma McGinty and Miss Hilda Holtebeck will attend. Major Joe Lee Jessup, son of Mr and Mrs T A Jessup, has been promoted to Major. He is a Dothan High School and University of Alabama graduate with Harvard master’s degree and has served in Washington DC and Fort Leavenworth.
