Two shows are on today at 4 30 p m and 7 30 p m with tickets six dollars for adults and four dollars for children.
The Dixon Plan Commission unanimously approved 5 016 acres on the southeast corner of Route 26 and Bloody Gulch Road for a motel. Ed Yingling, representing Iowa businessman Magen Patel, said initial plans call for a 33 unit Super 8 with possible 30 to 40 additional rooms later. Land owned by J M Hummel Sons could allow expansion or a restaurant, and nearby water and sewer access exist. Patel was not present at the meeting.

The nation’s first snow of the year fell in northern Colorado with 4 to 7 inches forecast as snow advisory covers northern foothills and northern central mountains. A separate freeze advisory extended into northeastern Colorado and central Wyoming while frost warnings were issued for northeastern Minnesota. Rain totals included .54 inches in Dixon with more drizzle expected today and Thursday.
