Dixon City Council clears path for Town Square land sale
The Dixon City Council approves selling land to the Town Square Partnership for a 53000 square foot building housing USF&G offices and 18000 square feet of retail space. The plan includes a double deck parking garage with 194 spaces for USF&G and 184 leased stalls. The project size grew from 30000 to 53000 square feet since June 1987, with 225 total stalls now planned and Town Square to pay 170000 for added space. Mayor James Dixon is to sign papers Friday. Commissioner Hank Williams was absent due to hospitalization. The council adjourned to September 17 to plan uniform non union personnel policies.
