Bush stays on course as Dukakis vows upset
George Bush pledges to stay the course through the final three weeks of the race despite polls showing a slim lead over Michael Dukakis. Dukakis, rallying at Boston's Faneuil Hall, vows Americans will celebrate on Election Night as he states Bush would veto civil rights and women’s rights and sell arms to the ayatollah. Dukakis campaign officials say they remain behind but are within striking distance as Ohio becomes a crucial battleground.
